6. BENJAMIN FRANKLIN: Don’t get trapped
Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) was pretty much the most awesome guy ever. He was a printer, writer, postmaster general, scientist, newspaper editor, politician and founding father of the United States. He also invented the lightning rod, bifocals, urinary catheter (a rigid metal tube was used before Franklin invented the flexible catheter – ouch!) and even the first political cartoon.
– This quote has also been attributed to Mark Twain. Can anyone confirm who the real source is?
– I know this one’s a bit depressing – can you tell I thought of this comic when I was still working at my office job?

Love how the trash can changed over the years too. They don’t update office equipment where I work.
Ha, those cheap bastards!
While the ergonomics of the workstation continue to suck–just like in real life!
Great quote and so true. I changed jobs and career paths at various times when it became too easy or routine or the bosses put a target on my back. Every time I changed, even when it was to get away from a toxic environment, it always changed for the better and I grew as a person and expanded my talents and horizons. Change is good. The key is knowing when it’s time.
Change is good Greg – I probably haven’t changed jobs enough and am totally guilty of getting complacent … not anymore!

POWERFUL
It’s not about getting a new job or always changing for one, but more on how does your work/job benefiting others. You are a zombie when you are not adding value to others and even onto yourself.
Love the commical approach. I need an outlet just not sure where to start.
This one was just like a conspiratory blow in the heart. I’d like to thank all the contributors. I’m tired enough yet. I hope for my sake and the sake of all who I could inspire instead, that I take the nerve and conscience to live up to this warning, I really do. Thank you.
The words itself send a very powerful message but the graphics bring the message to life in a whole new way. Just think about it, you live your life without really living it. Most people go day to day just being there instead of living life to the fullest. The graphics prove that doing something you don’t love is not actually living, it is just breathing. Breathing without actually being alive isn’t living at all and if that is how you choose to live your life, you might as well tell people you are dead.
Awesome work bro!

What is a firefighter?
He’s the guy next door….
He’s a guy like you and me with warts and worries and unfulfilled dreams.
Yet he stands taller than most of us.
He’s a fireman….
A fireman is at once the most fortunate and the least fortunate of men.
He’s a man who saves lives because he has seen too much death.
He’s a gentle man because he has seen the awesome power of violence out of control.
He’s responsive to a child’s laughter because his arms have held too many small bodies that will never laugh again….
He doesn’t preach the brotherhood of man.
He lives it.
